Ban Righ, Adelaide, and Chown are three gorgeous all-girl dorms that most people (most girls that is) dread ending up in for some reason or another. I'm sure there have been more than a few guys who tick the 'female' box on their applications in an attempt to live out their wet dreams of living in an all girl dorm.

While much catiness is likely to occur in these fine residences, they have their perks, and in retrospect, I wish I had ended up in one of them.

First of all, they are extremely close to campus, are right beside the big Ban Reigh Cafeteria, and most feature gorgeous limestone architecture and quaint rooms.

Adelaide is located across the street from McLaughlin Hall at the southwest corner of University Avenue and Stuart Street.

It was named for its benefactor, Adelaide McLaughlin and is the second oldest residence on campus. Opened in 1952, "Addy" as it is affectionately known to the residents, is home to 100 Queen's women.

Just like the other all girl dorms, it's centrally located in the middle of campus and right beside the Ban Righ caf. Trust me .. when that Kingston snow hits you'll be thanking your lucky stars you are close to the caf.
