Residence Life

by Dani

Pretty much everyone at Queen’s lives in rez in first year, and that’s a good thing. It gives you the chance to meet people you might not normally meet, and also gives you a wealth of choices as to who you are going to live with in upper years.

Generally, a few days during Frosh Week are dedicated to a rez orientation, where you get to hang out with people on your floor, meet your Don, and play stupid games that help foster school spirit.

Frosh are given free lanyards during this week, and make the mistake of wearing them. Trust me, it’s a sure fire sign you are a frosh if you are wearing your rez keys around your neck.

Anyway, the only thing you really have to remember is to bring shower shoes .. do that and you’ll be fine and toe fungus free for your first year of university.
